The solar system in which Alturas exists in is called the Greshin system, named after its sun.
Greshin is a G-type star which is orbited by
The planets, in order are:
- Gosapl (undiscovered by Alturians)
Many Alturian cultures have a belief that the number seven, the number of observable planets (not including Alturas) is a lucky or magical number. Themble is one of them.
Alturas has two orbiting satellites: Daysha and Arroyo.
A small, pale pink sphere, Daysha orbits Alturas much like our own moon does. Daysha is recognizable by its rose-hued appearance marked with craters and valleys.
Arroyo is much tinier than Daysha, and is not a true moon. It’s entire surface area is smaller than Vose. Arroyo is a satellite caught between the gravities of both Daysha and Alturas. It orbits Daysha in a long, oval pattern that disrupts Alturian tides when it comes near. It is called “Arroyo” for the tiny, narrow stripes in between its craters, which look like arroyos, or dry creek beds. Unlike Daysha, which is pale pink, Arroyo is a soft blue color.
